This Privacy Policy explains the documented ways HorrorDex collects and manages personal information. It covers email signup forms, messages sent to HorrorDex and related record requests.
Email signup
When an email signup form is presented, its invitation reads: “Join the HorrorDex list for future articles and reading suggestions.” The form asks for an email address and explicit agreement to: “I agree to receive email updates from HorrorDex.”
If you sign up, the site stores your email address, a hash used to check for duplicate signups, the signup time, the source page path without its query string or fragment, the accepted consent wording and the collection status. These records are stored in the site’s WordPress database.
A signup allows HorrorDex to collect your address for future updates. Email delivery, confirmation and automated unsubscribe features require separate configuration. As a result, a displayed signup form does not necessarily mean an active mailing service is operating, and HorrorDex does not promise a sending frequency.
Contact messages
If you contact HorrorDex, the site receives the information you choose to send. This may include your email address, message and any attachments. Please avoid sending personal information that is not needed for your request.
Record access and retention
Authorized administrators can view, export and remove newsletter signup records. These records also work with WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools. Newsletter records remain in the database until an administrator removes them or an erasure request is processed.
Temporary anti-spam rate records use hashed network identifiers and are periodically cleaned up. This does not mean that hosting systems never log IP addresses; host-level logging details are not documented in this policy.
Your choices
You can request access to or removal of your newsletter record by emailing contact@horrordex.com. Please identify the email address used to sign up so the relevant record can be located. Because automated unsubscribe tools may not be configured, email is the documented route for a removal request.
Links to other websites
HorrorDex may link to other websites. Those sites maintain their own privacy information and practices. Review their policies before providing personal information to them.
